So I've been trying to understand my angst regarding Microsoft's acquisition of Skype. Is it because they spent so much? Eight point five BILLION dollars! That should tell me that they're not planning on closing it any time soon. But it also tells me that they will need to somehow get that money back, and Skype, for all intents and purposes is free (I do still have $4.25 on the 20 € credit I purchased from them in 2004, but you know how many like me it will take to reach 8.5 billion? 500,000,000). So we're going to pay somewhere. Ads I won't mind.
